Advantages:

  • Excellent surface finish

  • Fast printing

Disadvantages:

  • Absorbs moisture from atmosphere, must be stored dry

When to use PETG:

  • When a premium, glossy surface finish is desired

  • When color selection is critical

  • General prototyping

  • Light-to-medium duty functional parts

  • Chemical resistance (solvents, fuel)

IC3D PETG filament is a popular choice for 3D printing due to its excellent balance of strength, flexibility, and ease of use. Made from glycol-modified PET, this filament offers enhanced clarity and durability, making it suitable for a wide range of applications from prototypes to functional parts.
