Recycled PETG - Models, Prototypes, Functional

The most budget-friendly choice from models, prototypes, and light-to-medium duty functional parts. Recycled PETG is our favorite material for general-purpose prototyping.

Advantages:

  • Lowest cost

  • Fast printing

  • Wide variety of translucent colors

Disadvantages:

  • Absorbs moisture from atmosphere, must be stored dry

When to use Recycled PETG:

  • General prototyping

  • Light-to-medium duty functional parts

  • Chemical resistance (solvents, fuel)

Our choice: IC3D Recycled PETG

IC3D recycled PETG filament is an environmentally friendly material crafted from post-consumer plastic waste, offering a sustainable alternative for 3D printing. This filament combines quality performance with a reduced ecological footprint, making it suitable for various applications from prototyping to functional parts. With excellent layer adhesion and durability, recycled PETG provides the desired strength and impact resistance. Additionally, the material features an aesthetically pleasing glossy finish.

Application examples:

  • 3D printed furniture

  • Mock-up prototypes

  • Fixtures and tooling for low stress/low temperature processes

  • Large scale prototypes
