PLA is one of the most popular plastics for general purpose printing.

Advantages:

  • Excellent surface finish and crisp details

  • Fast printing

  • Bio-based

  • Inexpensive

Disadvantages:

  • Low heat deflection temperature (HDT), can not be left in hot car

When to use PLA:

  • At GZERO Additive we do not recommend PLA for any general application. Recycled PETG is a superior choice in nearly every aspect, while being lower cost and printing faster than PLA.
